Mommy Moments - Bonding Time

Yey! I'm present for the Mommy Moments!

One of our bonding times is reading together. Obviously, I was the one who took the picture. Kuya loves it when I read to him. The little boy scans through the pages then starts to tear them. My bonding time with bunso is singing with actions - what kuya doesn't like much.

We also love going out to the park and play in the morning or afternoon.

See more mommy-baby bondings here.

Calming Technique

The moment I'm dreading is to see the note "no photos available." It's here now. Hope there's still something we could do to save them. HELP!

To calm myself, I've got to check those prestige properties at the Orange County Real Estate . They have good listings with photos and virtual tours.

Rattled

I woke up to be rattled. I hate to think that it's happening again. I lost our photos from the memory card yesterday.

I put the memory card into the laptop but the photos don't appear. I hope the photos are still there. Coz yesterday the pics were suddenly gone when I put back the card. Yikes! I wonder why coz this doesn't happen before with our original card.

I accidentally slept early with my kids when i tucked them to bed last night. So the result, I awoke at the odd time of 2AM.

There's no choice but to wake up hubby and ask for help about uploading the pics. I can't lose them again.

An Upcoming Visit To Palawan

Excited? not much...Ironically.
I haven't been on a trip since I had my eldest. So that was three years already.

My SILs invited me but then hubby wanted to come too. Maybe at the back of my mind I'm thinking of leaving my sons behind. And it's going to be the first time hubby and I will go out of town without them.

On the other light, this might fulfill the much needed break for hubby and me.

Maybe the feeling of excitement will come when we get to sit down and plan for the getaway.
In the meantime, let's have a Tattoo Chat. What's the latest design today? I want to have a henna tattoo placed on my back when I don my new summer outfit. Wouldn't it be nice to sport a henna tattoo while walking in one of the beaches in Palawan? Oh am I getting excited?

It will be good to visit the Tattoo Chat City to ask about cool tattoo designs.

Thoughtful Gifts

Giving gifts is an expression of love. When I give a gift to someone, I choose something that has a spiritual message on it. I didn't guess there are religious gifts you can order online.

What a great gift idea this musical box could be! The person who receives this must really be touched by the music. It shows that the one who gave it must have really given a careful thought to his gift.

I was surprised that not only you can find great items from this gift store. I would want to keep this lovely mirror for our own home.

They have created products for living that help to constantly remind us of God and what He has done through their beautiful items.

Married Chat City

Technology, specifically, the internet has been a great tool to a huge variety of issues that humankind has. Now there's the Married Chat Rooms, where people can get together and talk about the issues of married life. You may want to join the chat rooms if you're a married person trying to hear out from others having the same situation as yours. You know that talking or having someone hear you out really helps you relieve the burden or stress. Not that being married is stressful, I hate to discourage single peeps out there, but disagreements and problems are inevitable between two different individuals. It’s normal. It’s necessary. And it helps you to get to know each other better.

You may also be a single person wanting to get a picture of how a married life is by talking to married people in different parts of the world. Be encouraged to take the plunge!

I remembered that a friend of mine is getting married this coming March. Maybe I could introduce her to the Married Chat City. Who knows she could be building her support group from there.

By the way, it's 100% FREE registration so you'll get to access the chat rooms instantly.

How Do I Love My Hubby

How do I love my hubby? I think my answers are already here.

I got you there Pehpot! Thanks for remembering me.

I just finished tagging my friends so I open this tag to anybody who wants to share how they love their behalf.

Best Mom Daw Oh!

I receive this award with flattery and a bit of doubt at the side. Enchie and Chris think I deserve this award. Thank you guys! You should be having this award as well.

My kids are my treasure and the joy of my life.
There are no words to tell exactly how much love I feel for them.
I know I'm not worthy but I'm so grateful to God for giving me a chance to be a mom to them. That's why I (hey hubby, we're together here) want to do the best that I can to give all the care they need and deserve.
I'm just human and an amateur parent; I can be harsh at times but one thing's for sure, I just want them to be the best kids (person, in the future) that they can be.
My number one prayer for my kids is that they will love God and have a relationship with Him as they grow. Second, is that God will give me lots of time and chance to love them more and see them happy as they have their own lives as well in the future.

Rules:
1. Show the award logo in your post.
2. Pick a picture you have with your kiddo/s.
3. Post should include your best experience as a Mom.
4. Nominate other blogger moms out there that you consider the best mom, like yourself.

I believe that Cielo, Kitts, Janet, Jen, Jennie, Roselle, and Pinaymama deserve to get this award too!

Good News For Our Seniors

There's good news to World War II Veteran Soldiers! A great news for my grandfather in that sense. I guess the Senior Chat Rooms will be a great help to disseminate the information. Do you imagine the oldies chatting on the internet? *grin*

The equity bill has now been approved. WW 2 Veterans will be receiving $9,000 in their account. My grandfather is bragging his $15,000, the difference being that he is an American Citizen. Offices will be stationed in different cities nationwide considering that the claimants will be oldies and will have a hard time to travel. Remote office will also be located in the Veterans Memorial Hospital as some veteran soldiers are confined there.

A little something about my oldie....He is turning 91 years old this coming March. And his only problem is his excretion...and his hearing (naman! at his age). God has shown lots of miracles in his life. He had two operations when he was in Hawaii some time ago. Part of his colon was removed and another one was his gallbladder if I'm not mistaken. Two years ago he was comatosed because of his prostate cancer but he woke up after one month. Then last year, results of his tests say that his cancer is cleared. It's totally God!

Lolo, forget me not! teehee :D

More From Valentine's Day

A heart-shaped pancake for hubby to greet him on Valentine's Day morning. Eating at the working desk.
Far from my request but I LOVED them lots.
The card says "LOVE doesn't always soar from the the heights. Sometimes it screeches up the driveway and bounds up to the door carrying a pizza box and a movie, forgetting to wipe its feet". Didn't get the meaning of it at first that I needed to read and think and ask hubby. hehe :) It's true, love is not always grand. It's up to the person how you make love special.
Dearest Beb, Just letting you know that I love you so much and that I'm so happy to have you as my partner, friend and wife. It's fun sharing life with you. Happy Valentine's Day to the one I love. Love, Honey. *kilig*
The other one is a devotional book called "Women of the Bible."
My simple gift is a heart-shaped chocolate. See, love is not always big. hehe :) I'll make up to you someday honey. I love you!

You're Tracked

I had an unforgettable experience when I was still working in the city. I got a seat beside a man who was doing "m" in a jeepney! I hurriedly got off the vehicle and didn't mind if I had to walk a few blocks to our office. The man didn't harm the passengers directly. But the sight is just so demoralizing. It's so annoying why does he have to do that there in a public public place? I was just grateful that he didn't touch me or anything. Or maybe had I not gotten off immediately, he might have done something more terrible. whew!
Have you heard about a unique website where you can Track Sex Offenders? This site is amazing. With it, you can view photos and obtain names and addresses of nearby offenders in your area. It also tells about the previous sexual offenses of the person. You can be aware of their ways and moves. It's best to be more aware and keep a safe family.

I'm just happy that we now live in a secured neighborhood. Far from snatchers, thieves or say, sex offenders.

My Own Web Domain

I'm quite happy as to how my blog is slowly but surely progressing right now. Maintaining a blog for me is easy. I love writing (call it, frustrated writer) and reading from the internet. If I'd be given lots of time to be in front of the computer and blog, there's really no problem. Opportunities are also coming as long as you keep your blog up to date. And you keep your eyes open, hehe :)

If favorable situations like these continue, maybe in months time I can buy a domain hosting of my own. There's just a lot of companies offering domain name and web hosting out there. But a starter like me who might still be testing waters needs to choose one that's reliable and affordable.

I have seen one that offers very low registration fee. Usually you need to initially pay for the domain name registration for the first year but with UK-Cheapest, if you buy hosting they provide a free .UK domain name for 2 years! You only need to pay for the renewal charges after two years. That's free domain name hosting for two years! Then after that you can register with your own name. Sweet! And here, the price you see is the price you pay. Check it here. They're transparent with their renewal costs. No hidden charges to pay that you will find too late to back out.

Now, what name shall I have for my domain? Open for suggestions!

Love Ya Award

Twinkie loves me and thought of passing this award to me.

These kind bloggers aim to find one another and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of this award are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who can choose eight more and include this text into the body of their award.

I want to pass some lovin' to Gengen, Mitch and those who are in my blogroll, this award is for you too.

Six Weird Things About Me

I know that Pehpot has been waiting to know the six weird things about me.

RULES: People who get tagged need to write a blog post of 6 weird things about them as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 or more people you know to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Actually, I needed to think alot. Ok, so here they are.

uuuhhhmmm...

1. I can go through the day without combing my hair. I only do when I need to go out of the house and after bathing.

2. I'd go to places with only a sketch or a direction. I get excited pag naliligaw na ko.

3. When I buy something, I'd check every store, brand or boutique even if I already planned ahead what to buy. Then I change my mind for N times before I finally go to the counter. Sometimes when I come home after shopping, I even think that I should have bought the other item.

4. I like shopping but when I got money I don't know anymore what to buy. (Maybe because I want to buy lots but the bread isn't enough. hehe! materialistic me)

5. I wash my hands for several times when I cook and I taste my cooking a lot of times before serving it.

6. I want to be an outgoing person but there were times that I feel shy to initiate to other people. Sometimes I need to think first if I'm going to initiate or not.

Whew! I thought I can't come up with six but it's finally done!

Issa, Maxi, Maureen, Roselle, Sheila and Shimumsy, please share some weird things about you too.

Valentine Party '09

We had our Valentine's Party last Sat., set up by the church leaders for the marrieds ministry.

I was so encouraged when I arrived the place. It looked like we were in a different place and not where we usually have our church meetings.

Thanks to the bros (including hubby) and sis who pumped up the place.

Everybody just wanted to be sweet and warm as we stepped (barefoot) in this cozy place.

Eating time of course....
Our version of Family Feud game - "Meron Ba N'yan?" Questions include: "Why does the wife get mad at the husband?" top answer: husband does not listenIt's a close fight but we won the game!
The party won't be complete without the singing time. Hubby got the highest score of 100 by singing "Reaching Out!"
Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Valentine 2009!
With the lasting bouquet of roses.
Group shot
Group shot with the kiss
It was really fun and I was so encouraged.

Loving-loving continued in our respective homes.

Mommy Moments - Love Letter

I was thinking of putting one of hubby's love letters here for this week's meme. I forgot that this meme is specially for mommies.

Since my kids can't write yet, I'm sharing one of our "love moments."

This was taken last Christmas. Zach has become so sweet. He's fond of saying 'I love you' all the time and loves to kiss and embrace.

My kids also love to show their affection to each other and this was one of their 'lambingan' moments this morning.
They love to do this mostly in the morning after waking up. I feel so happy when I see them like this.

See some more love from

Better stop dreaming and share my blog in acobay to gain more traffic to my site.

Warms My Heart

Bouquets, roses, chocolates, cuddly bears, hearts. They're ubiquitous once again at this time of the year.

I caught myself blushing to see the lovely bouquets being featured on tv.

Prices from Dangwa, a well-known place in Manila where you can find fresh flowers on a cheaper price.

arm bouquet (12 roses) - Php400 to Php450
round bouquet (12 roses) - Php400 to Php450
mums and assorted flowers bouquet - Php400
bouquet with accessories like stuffed bear and heart - P500 to P850

See, what's cheap at this time of the year? Except when you grow them in your backyard. Check out the prices of these at the malls if you won't hesitate to buy.

The lady in me. I felt my face flushed when I saw a beautiful pink tulip on a pot. Sweet! Php550 - Dangwa price.

But I told hubby last night if he's going to give me something for Valentine's, scratch the flowers in his options. Coz I think I want a set of jewelries. hehe :D Let's see!

But the tulips still would be a winner if ever, hehe.

A Li'l Boy's Prayer

Before Zach dozed off this evening, he asked for us to pray first.

He said:

God thank you for this day.
Thank you for making the car start.
In Jesus' name. Amen.

He still remembered last Friday when we were about to go to the grocery and the car doesn't start like forever. We prayed for God to make it start and before we even said "Amen," the engine was rumbling confidently. He got so amazed! even the momy and dady.

I was so happy that praying has become part of his life at his young age.

He believes in the power of prayer.

He believes that God answers prayers.

He believes that it is God who answers prayers.

I was inspired once again to pursue our weekly family devotional, which we haven't done in the last two weeks. It struck me to realize that it really works little by little. We shouldn't underestimate those family devotionals. C'mon honey! let's do it this weekend.

Flashback to this morning at the ball court.

Stylish But Not Pricey

My sis in-law, specifically, the wife of my hubby's twin was wearing contact lenses when they visited us last Sunday. I remembered when I was still single I used to wear colored contacts. Hubby can't deny the fact that he was allured to those hazel brown eyes. Not knowing that they were contact lenses until I told him when we were steady dating already. Victim!

I wore eyeglasses since I was in secondary school. I'm nearsighted. Most of the time friends tell me I was a snob the other day when the truth is I didn't notice them from afar. I haven't worn eyeglasses or contact lenses since last year when my lenses got expired. I think now I need to use one again. This time for economical reason maybe I'll opt for eyeglasses which do not expire.

The New York Times has featured cheap but stylish eyeglasses from Zenni Optical. They have a variety of eyeglasses to choose from depending on the look you want. You can choose from a selection of frames with different kind of lens according to your need. There's also the tinted sunglasses lens, which is good for the outdoors.

I can't decide between Silver & Raspberry - pattern temples or Pink & Purple - pattern temples.

Surprise!

We had a surprise visit from my in-laws today. But actually, we were the ones who surprised them first because we weren't home when they came. hehe! We were still in church and I wasn't hearing them call through my cellphone (my helper revived the old phone, galeng!).

Good thing, BIL saw some churchmates who are having lunch at the mall and told them that the church is just at the other building.

We had lunch first at Bacolod Inasal coz it's past lunch already. I bet the ILs got hungry with trying to locate us.

In fairness, i loved their sisig. I love their food so far. And their food cost fair enough. Not to mention the rice-all-you-can for the rice lovers.

No pics when we got home...forgot to take pics na.

MIL cooked dinner (kame na naman ang pinagluto, o diba). It's called "ginulay." You can imagine from the name itself. Tastes really good!

I'm so thankful we have thoughtful parents like them.

They went home after dinner. Back to quietness.

I plan to bloghop after this post. But the eyes are shutting by itself. goodnight y'all!

Today's Thoughts

1. Anxious. Trying to wean baby Gabe. I know that breastmilk is the best for babies up to 2 years but....He made the habit of biting my nipples. He did it not less than five times today. So so so so ouchy! He's now 14 months old and has three teeth up and two down. Imagine that.

I don't know what to do coz he doesn't want to drink from the bottle. I've tried almost all the formulas. Now I've chosen the one that tastes more like the breastmilk. He sometimes drink it when I offer it to him while he's asleep. Most of the time it gets spoiled.

1.1. Baby Gabe's slow weight gain (I think). And i've been skinny since I started breastfeeding the little boss. My breastmilk production is not as flowing (spraying) as before. Result: He's always hungry and me too.

2. Hubby mentioned that Zach should be enrolled in a class, workshop, Tae-kwondo lessons or anything like that. So he has an outlet for his HYPERactivity. I thought of it before and now after hubby mentioned it this morning, I'm wishing to pursue it the soonest. BUT we need to fix the budget first. All the more when zach chanced upon so timely a Taekwondo program on TV. He's so excited when i let him kick my hand like the kids do during the lessons.

3. Want to inquire about the montessori school in our area, Kumon and E.nopi. This has been in my mind during the week. If there's only a local chat room, I will gladly join and ask about reliable schools for my son around the place.

4. Been thinking about starting a gimik for my blog. This, I'm excited about.

5. Thankful that there have been opps lately but wishing for opps of varied topics to grab.

6. Been peeking on hubby and wondering when could he let me sit in front of the internet. Now I'm here after a little begging.

Mommy Moments - Preggy Days

I was 7 months pregnant here with our first baby. Summer kasi kaya init na init ang buntis na nagbabad sa tubig. Mukhang balyena sa laki ng tyan.

I'm thankful that I didn't have those morning sickness. My sense of smell was just so hightened and I hated the smell of beef noodles. At about this time and onwards I was complaining of backache and it's so hard to sleep. I would always say that I don't want the feeling of being pregnant anymore and I want the baby out as soon. That's why I really felt so light and relieved when I got into the water. But pregnant women are treated special everywhere they go and I miss that, hehe.

With my second baby, i can't remember if I have a picture taken during those times. Until the third month, I worked in a call center and I sleep at 1AM. This time I experienced 'morning sickness' before I go to bed, hehe.

I must share more of my birthing experience in a different post.

You can see other preggy moments here.

Happpy Birthday Mama!

I was so happy to be at my mom's for her birthday. Too bad we didn't have a decent cam to capture the moments. Hubby used the D40 in the office that's why I wasn't able to bring it.

Mama seemed happy during her day. At her 60th, she surely didn't look like her age. I wish I could be as fabulous looking like her when I reach the same age, hehe. I wonder if I'd be coz I'm not as diligent with having a regular skin regimen as her. After bathing, she cannot not have those creams or lotions to her skin. But I can see that it's worth it.

We're back home yesterday and I'm again missing the chitchats with my mother and sisters. Our youngest sister is speaking Japanese as part of her school curriculum. It sounded like we're in Asian Chat rooms. Hehe!

Treasured Award and More

Jes just made me feel special through this award. Thank you!

All the people in my blogroll, this award is for you too.

I've been browsing back to blogs (where I thought I've seen it) looking for the blog marketing site that i remembered I've seen before. After a day of browsing archives and categories of two different blogs i finally found what I've been looking for. Only to realize that the site is not working anymore. heck!

Anyway, bye for now. Hubby's already falling in line for the laptop.

Still Playing

Zach: No, I'm still playing.

He doesn't want to wake up coz in his dreams, he's still playing on the internet. It's either Kidzui or nickjr.com. He wanted to be on the internet more than go outside to play. Getting more like his dad! He will either watch videos or play games. We're amazed coz he's been discovering sites where he's having fun and at the same time helps in his learning. We were just surprised that the site is teaching him alphabets, numbers and phonetics. Like what teachers do in preschool. I just want to let him enjoy this stage coz later on he'll be interested in new Ford cars.

At the side, I've been thinking of how I could make him interested in writing the alphabet. He knows how to draw and loves to do spongebob, ghosts and dinosaurs. He'll be putting on eyes, nose and mouth to just every drawings like sun, apples, hands, cars and mountains.

goal: teach him to write his name this month.

Hopeless

The cellphone I'm using took its final breath. It's an old mobile phone that my ILs are letting us use. In fairness, it has been useful for a time.

But this afternoon, it won't turn on anymore even after I changed the battery. Before, we had the power button fixed but now, I'm not thinking of bringing it to the repair shop. I could imagine the technician saying, "why don't i just buy a new one?"

Birthday Wishlist Tag

Thanks to Chris for this birthday tag!
This is quite an early wishlist for my birthday on May. But I guess doing it advance won't do any harm.

Rules Of The Tag:
1. Make a list of what you want on your birthday
2. The list should be 10 numbers
3. Post the image of this award in your posting
4. Give it to 10 friends of yours.

My prayer wishes are:
1. Last year when we had our wi-fi connection at home, BIL mentioned that i should be having my own laptop so I could do more stuff including blogging. It didn't matter sharing with Zach and hubby then. But now that Zach is really so into nickjr.com and I can't use the internet when i want to, I'm wishing of having my own LAPTOP.
2. I wish I could visit my parents and sisters whenever I want to.
3. I wish for more paid blogging opportunities. (copied from Chris' list.) :D
4. I wish that I could spend more time for my personal bible study and prayer.
5. I wish to be with my college friends and have lots of chika together. It's been years since i have seen most of them like we've been to private drug rehab.
6. I wish I and hubby could spend time together out of the country.
7. I wish we could bring our kids out of the country. (a different event from #6)
8. I wish we could do some home improvements like additional shelves etc.
9. I wish I could pursue my online career.
10. I wish for the family's good health.

Now I am tagging Jonaver, Maricel, Maxi, Lena. And of course, Kitts, this is very much in time for your upcoming birthday this month.
