My Life Now

I attended the PTA meeting this morning. My first. I towed Gabe along as we all knew he'd be looking for me from the moment I stepped out of the house.

It's my laundry day but I'm keeping that for tomorrow. The weather has been very unpredictable. Though it hadn't rained today, just drizzled very very little, as ironic as I thought that it would rain hard. I actually regretted that I should have started loading the clothes in the washer earlier.

Done with New Moon. Can't wait any longer for when I'll see SIL again to borrow the book. And hubby was so kind to download the whole novel online after catching me reading just parts of it.

I've just started Eclipse. And I stopped on Chapter 1 reminding myself that the dishes are still waiting in the sink to be washed.....before bunso wakes up and while Kuya is still in school.

Then I'll need to cook dinner already. As early as I can so Kuya can have dinner before he dozes off usually before 7PM, tired from school.

See yah in not so long, I hope :D

Oxis

I'm one of those who like to patronize products that are natural and organic. You can find one in this website - http://www.oxis.com. Consumer products from Oxis have L-Ergothioneine (ERGO) as the major component. ERGO is effective to a person's health in different aspects. It's a powerful multifaceted antioxidant that acts on different human health concerns like anti-aging and the following:
  • Brain health
  • Immunity against diseases
  • Anti-aging/skin health
  • Inflammation
  • Detoxification
  • Blood sugar regulation
Cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases can potentially be treated by therapeutic compounds and clinical products from Oxis. Aging people like me have nothing to worry about getting Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

What's Going On?

The first week of regular school day is almost over. And I'm glad Zach was catching up well. It was less complicated than I expected it to be - following his new schedule. Less whining than I thought there would be. Breakfast, play a little, do homework, play or watch tv(if there's still time), eat at 11AM, bath and get dressed at 12PM. The service arrives at 12:30. After school, that's the only time he can play in the computer. But starting this afternoon, I plan to make him sleep after he goes home from school. I can see he's tired and sleepy when he arrives but since the tv is on, he just wants to watch instead. I need to see if the van is coming and then I'd turn off the tv.

~~With me~~

Pre-occupied with reading Twilight on my free time. Sorry for the, as always, piles of clothes to be folded. And my absenteeism in blogsville. Can you blame me for being so engrossed! Last night, I read with my cellphone as a torch, ignoring hubby's remark that it's not a good idea for my defective eyesight. I guess hubby was really tired coz he slept soundly despite my giggles over Edward and Bella in my head.

I saw the plug of Eclipse on tv and I wish I could read the novel before the showing on June 30. I think though that it's impossible. Oh I don't plan to watch it in the cinema so I'd have time to read it before hubby had dloaded a clear copy. Given I'd finished New Moon by that time. A suggestion I'm taking from SIL.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the week...like me!

Zach's Prep Books

The other day, Zach and I scanned his books together. Quite refreshing that the
fonts are bigger than the books that I usually read. I'm glad I won't have to wear
eyeglasses every time we study his lessons.

Zach was interested with the Reading, Language, Math and Science books. I think,
we'll have a problem with Filipino and Sibika subjects. I let him try to read his
Filipino books and I tried very hard not to laugh as he read. So slang. I taught him
the Filipino translations for the different kinds of shapes, colors and adjectives.
I translate instructions and passages in English so he would also understand. Later
on, he mentioned that he doesn't like the books which are in Filipino. Now I know
the Filipino subjects will be the challenging ones for him...and me too. Coz I always
need to translate everything in English. But I guess it will only be for the start.

I'm excited already for the start of Zach's regular classes on Monday. Even more
excited than him hehe :D

Green and Blue

I'm so happy with my new template design (grin ear to ear). Blue has been my favorite and I had an eye on greens when I got married to someone who loved it. I should've listened to a suggestion of bluegreen as our wedding theme color. Oh nonsense! that was more than 6 yrs. ago (going 7). I actually wish for bluegreen curtains hanging in our windows.

Thanks to the new blogger design app. Oppss! walang gagaya! Or someone's having this design already before I knew it. Anyway, I'll try to add personal touches for some originality.

Been busy with the kids and the home lately. And my mind was caught up with preparing Zach for his first day in school. At night, I was exhausted and asleep if not spending time with hubby watching a movie. A new template is an attempt to make up for what's lost :D

Happy weekend everyone!

1st Day: Separation Anxiety

Not with Kuya Zach but with Gabe, hehe :D

He insisted to go with Kuya inside the classroom. A trip to the canteen stopped his crying. whew!

Curious and bored, Kuya kept standing up after he's done writing his name on the first page of his notebook. Funny, he doesn't know yet what to say and do and he had the confused look. Looks like school's not new to most of his classmates. They knew already the opening and closing spiels like "Good morning or Goodbye Teacher ...."

There were five assistant teachers inside the classroom; making it sure that the pupils are behaved and are listening to the teacher. During recess, I'm amazed that the pupils stayed seated eating their snacks. My elementary days flashed in my mind and I laughed at how totally disorganized we were. Each pupil is escorted by a teacher (with an umbrella) if they need to go the canteen or the restroom. Enough to melt my worries.

I'm glad the first day of school wasn't complicated as I thought it would be. The hard part was only when I was getting him to take a bath and he can't stop playing. But when we were already waiting for the school bus (van) service, I think he got excited. He even told me not to go with him to school but of course I still went. hehe :D

Zach Is Back!

When he arrived home, he remembered his hotwheels tracks so he asked me for it and played. He hums some unfamiliar tunes as he plays. I realized that's what I missed about him. His music and sound effects when he's around. Sometimes it becomes louder and results into noise which I already got used to.

Time flies really fast! It was four years since I first held him. Amidst grogginess, I can still remember when the doctor took him to my face after he came out. He'll be in school next week. I'm quite worried and excited at the same time. Later on I'll be on my way to research college degrees. I got to set aside all those worries and think about the good things. :D

Teary Eyed

Quite sad last night for not bringing Zach home with us as I expected. He was asleep already when we left. He'll probably insist to go with us if he's awake.

Just thankful that hubby said he'll just fetch him before going home from work today. They might be here already in the late afternoon at the most.

When we hugged yesterday as we arrived at her lola's, I saw tears swell up in his eyes. hehe :D  When I gave birth to Gabe, he was just 2 and a half yrs. old and he stayed with his lola. There's no reaction when we saw each other at last after 2 weeks. He's really a big boy now! He already misses us! :D

BTW, he's turning 5 in four weeks. I'm planning of treating them (with my blogging money) somewhere. Our 7th Year Wedding Anniversary is also just 5 days after Zach's birthday so I'm really quite excited.

Dolce Gusto Coffee

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Nestle Nescafe Dolce Gusto. All opinions are 100% mine.

4-1
Do you want to win a NESCAFE Dolce Gusto machine

How?

1. Join the online contest.

2. For CANADA residents only. Start applying now if you're still not :D

3. Brewing from April 26, 2010 to June 20, 2010.

But although I don't drink coffee because it brings out the symptoms in me, I still consider myself a coffee-lover. If not for the palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness and jitters it gives me, I'll be drinking coffee all day everyday. But still I'm not qualified coz I don't live in Canada. Too bad, I can't even have a taste of how Canadians make coffee their own style and taste.

The Nescafe Dolce Gusto Machine is a multi-coffee capsule system that uses a kind of high pressure just like in the coffee house machines. It's like drinking authentic, coffee house quality coffee in your own home.

Coffee has been a favorite beverage ever since, all year-round. Others like it hot others like it cold. I prefer it blended with a cream on top most of the time. With the Dolce Gusto Machine, we talk about variety to suit every personal taste. When a friend visits you home you'll just pop your favorite capsule and in a matter of seconds, "One Strawberry and Cream Frapp comin' up!" Capsules are bought at your favourite grocery stores, at any of the retailers where machines are sold, and online.

The Nescafe Dolce Gusto Machine will surely bring out the talk, along with its superb modern style and function combined together that makes it a distinct countertop showpiece.

If you're a Canada resident, join the contest now and own this awesome machine in your own kitchen.

Descent Connection Please

Not sure if it's because we haven't paid the ISP yet for the service. I received a reminder from them through SMS 3 times already in three weeks. The internet connection wasn't totally cut (thank you), but the connection is so slow that most of the time I get failure in connection after waiting for 2 minutes. But this also happens even when we were paying on time. The problem is, we have no other choice. There are only two ISPs serving our area. We have tried the other provider too and it's worse. Or, use a USB type of connection. Which I wonder if would work better.

Even my email gets disconnected. Sadly, I can't use the chat function continuously. I've been used to this email host and I'm not about to go to a different one.

Tomorrow, we need to go to the ISP office to pay. I tried to pay it from a different payment facility that used to accept payments for the ISP. But yesterday, the attending person received error when she tried to access my account for several times. The only reason I could think of was that the account is long overdue. Hope things will change by tomorrow. And hope this post gets published.

This is just my small rant and don't get too much affected.

Good day everyone! Happy weekend!

Learn 30 Minute Meals

Now that the school opening is past approaching, learning how to cook 30 minute meals would be a great idea. I figure adjustment is going to be hard at first. But I'm not opting to find a new helper. I'm not shrugging off the idea as well.

It's Zach's first time in school and I imagine trouble in the beginning. He needs to get used to our new schedule. And I bet it'll be very hard for him. I'm just thankful his class starts at 1PM so there's no morning rush. Just afternoon rush hehe :D. I can focus on preparing breakfast and hubby's lunchpack in the morning. After breakfast, Zach needs to do his homework, then time for mid-morning snacks. If there's still time, he can watch tv or play a little. But no online games. (This is where we'll have a problem I think.) Then at 11AM, it's time for lunch, then bath and get dressed. Actually I don't know what should come first, lunch or bath. We'll see.

Zach's is still having vacation in my in-laws' in Manila. When he starts schooling they can't borrow him anymore, they said. Here's his new-ready-for-school-look.

I miss him already. But I know he's still enjoying his nanay and mamay's (grandmother and grandfather's) pampering.

The Choice

smiles, laughs, excitements, kiligs, a liter of sadful tears, a pail of joyful tears. To the point that my eyes were blurred with tears and I can't read the words but still I tried to read. A roller coaster of emotions made it hard for me to stop reading. (I didn't take a bath yesterday.)

It's been looooonnnnggggg since I read a novel. more please...

Gabby needed to make a choice.

Later, Travis was left with a decision to make.

How far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

I don't want to spill the beans so I'm stopping here.

Silver Investment

I started believing that gold is still the best investment until this time. From ancient times up to now the value of gold never fades. And now I learned that one can buy silver bullion too. It's cheaper than gold but still it's a wise investment. It's advantageous to own silver coins as it is not commonly used to exchange commodities such as when buying food or clothing. One can't easily spend silver or gold coins unless it's exchanged in it's currency value. In short, it's a great way to protect or preserve one's wealth.

There's no better time to own silver coins or ingots. Ingots are pure gold or silver bullion cast in a convenient size and shape that has a currency value. It's been known that precious metals' value increases as the value of money decreases. If I have the ability, I would certainly invest on silver or gold. It's one of the wisest investments on earth.
