Mommy Moments - My Little Helpers

I want my two boys to grow up believing that doing the house chores is not only for girls. One of the rules we had eversince is to play with just one toy at a time. They can get only one book at a time. But that not always happens. And they do know that they have to clean up after their mess.

picking up the blocks...more eager si bunso

He likes grabbing the broom or mop from me. It's more trouble than help though =)

my little hardinero (gardener)

My prayer wish is that they will help us with the chores when they grow up =D

I had fun doing this post! Want to join?

With Love Wednesday - Love For Life

With Love Wednesday

Hi there everybody! No one knows how excited I am for the first installment of this new meme, "With Love Wednesday."

We're starting off with a topic about our love for life. The person whom we are going to stay with for the rest of our life. I suspect you know that already from when you crossed your heart or tied the knot, right?

This was in Coron, Palawan last June 12, 2009. It's like our advance 6th year wedding anniversary celebration for July 13. We hope to travel more places together...with the kids =D

I really am greatfully grateful for God for bringing him to my life. We share differences but I can't imagine my life without this man. I love you honey!

Grab the badge at the sidebar and join the fun sharing here at ”With Love Wednesday”. Don't forget to add your link and comment so we can check your entry too.

Pixel Bug Weekend - Movies Movies!

9:30 AM. After watching Shrek the Halls and Surviving Sid (short films from Shrek and Ice Age respectively) amidst monkeying around.

12:00PM

At 4PM we went to Globe to apply for Wi-Max internet subscription. We then went to the grocery after. When we got home, it's movie time. I screamed most of the time watching 2012. A nice one!

Sunday, after church, we went home with a company. Austria family, our best friends from church. We ate our take-home lunch then watched 2 movies in a row - "The Ugly Truth" and "Nine." Hubby made a delicious mango shake for our snacks with matching chichi. I wasn't able to take a picture of our spend time, tsk tsk. Anyway, that's definitely not the last time (not the first time too).

Join the fun with us at Pixel Bug Weekend.

No Visit Today

We waited for my in-laws til noon. Sadly, the visit didn't happen. And instead of playing Online Casino Proudly, the kids and the daddy were watching movies amidst playing and monkeying around. I, on the other hand, took the chance to face the other electric fan that's been sitting dirty for long now. Now it looks more pleasant and the air coming out of it is much cleaner. While this is what conspired of the three.

I wonder if they will be on casino online goldlist when they age. Haven't tried it myself. I'm sure hubby haven't tried it too. I believe those who play casino have lots of money to spare. How about you, have you tried casino? Might as well go to play casino bonuses.com.

Mommy Moments - Yummy!

Can't believe it's Friday already! Days pass by so quickly.

Here's my share on Yummy Mommy Moments.

Winter a.k.a. Gabe (I want to get used to calling him by his first name) eats practically anything. Before he loves string beans and now his favorite is young corn and corn. If I cook chopseuy or buttered veggies, he picks them by his hand. Of course he won't let desserts pass.

Look at that yearning in the boy's face. hehehehe =D

With Kuya Zach, I have a hard time feeding him. so picky. Just wants to eat chicken nuggets, tocino, hotdogs, pizza, peanut butter sandwich, fruits, sweets and of course biscuits and chichiria. It was really a battle to make him eat. But I learned that forcing him to eat anything that he doesn't like makes things worse. So I just feed him something that he likes. I don't stop offering him good food though. And I make it sure that he drinks milk everyday. I think it's working. He's gained weight lately.

He started disliking milk formula when he was 2 1/2. Since then he drinks fresh milk and when he turned 3 1/2 he wants it only with chocolate or strawberry syrup.

Yummy! milk with choco syrup.

Study the Bible Online

Before I became a Christian, reading the Bible is far from what I could think of doing. Because I thought that the Bible is so hard to understand. And somehow, what I was taught of is that the bible should only be read by someone who's inspired by the Holy Spirit and has a deep knowledge of the kingdom of heaven. Had the myth that not just anyone should open the bible and read. And that there are only chosen people that should read and teach others about the bible.

When I studied the Bible and became a Christian, that's when I knew that the Bible is for everyone. Not just the priests or theologians or pastors. It is the love letter of God to all of us. I learned that the bible is not hard to understand after all. It talks about life, God's love to us, salvation, forgiveness, the kingdom of God and more. The word of God should be our ultimate source of hope and strength in a world that's full of chaos. In the bible, you can find wisdom and solutions to any problem about parenting, marriage, friendship, relationship, work or no work, even handling finances. Do you know that the bible is sooo relatable to us now even after being written thousands of years ago? That's so awesome!

That's why it's a great blessing that the church of God put up this online bible study. Be not intimidated coz you'll be guided with the keys to understand the bible and how to approach the bible with the proper attitude. There's also Bible study designed for the teens. They've also provided a bible reading schedule with deeper insights on the Scriptures for the more matured Christians. Now anyone can study the Bible anywhere as long as there's an internet.

Pixel Bug Weekend - The Tree Is Up!

We bought a new tree since the one we had last year has broken stands already. Hubby bought it last year from the sidewalk, hehe. What made me really excited was when I saw the grape lights from Puregold. First time I saw this was in National Bookstore but when I came back a week after, they have no more stocks. I thought I can't find one anymore that's why I was so giddy when I saw it again. But do you think I need to buy some more ornaments in blue and silver?

Growing Kid

It's like only yesterday when I was still nursing our little mister Gabe. Now he's up and running and blabbering 2 to 3-word phrases already. Within three weeks from now, he'll be turning 2 years old. No matter what I do there's no way of pulling him back from growing every minute.

No concrete plans yet about his birthday celebration but I'm feeling we need to start thinking of a plan by now. First time for me, I'm feeling lazy of cooking. Maybe we need to look at the net of any celebration ideas using Rapidshare Search Engine.

Last night, going to Enchanted Kingdom just popped in my head. Last time we went was when we've no kids yet. The question is how about the family who wants to celebrate with us? Hubby said we'll shoulder the entrance fee. For all?! Wow rich! Believe him not. He hasn't thought about it much yet.

Gold Bullion

Gold? Yes.

New header? Yes Yes Yes. I've been telling my personal web dev hubby to change the photos. He's been busy working in a new company. So I didn't push much. It would be like giving me gold bullion if he'd do it.

I've also been trying to put back ads on the sidebar but it's not working. Hope he'd feel pity on me when he reads this ;P

Speaking of gold, do you know that buying gold coins is one of the great investments today? One reason is because the value of gold increases in response to events such as decline in stocks and bonds. The more there's an inflation, the more that it's value grows. Gold has maintained its value throughout the ages, unlike paper currency or other assets.

Do you have a gold ring or earrings passed on to you from your great great grandmother? In history, it's been a practice to pass on gold jewelry to children to preserve a family's wealth from one generation to the next. With that, a gold coin is a good gift to to give your child. Consider a timeless gift that never fades but even grows in value as your child gets older. It could also be a way of teaching your child about the value of coins, wealth preservation and waiting for the right time.

Ink

At first it's quite strange and eerie especially when Ink comes in the picture. As the story goes it becomes clearer that these people are the ones behind our dreams. There appears two forces that battle over our souls through our dreams. First is the force that gives us good dreams giving us hope and strength while the other force gives trouble to our spirits through nightmares. It's actually a battle of light and darkness.

I often get my eyes wet in movies but this one really broke me to tears in the end. I realized I could be like the father in the movie with a dark monster inside. I realized we could all have "Ink" in us when we get hurt and in turn choose bad decisions and actions in our lives. You know inks, they're hard to erase. But if we decide to change, everything could be saved - lost relationship, love of a father to his child, or even life.

Don't expect of a Hollywood kind of film if you're going to watch this movie. But the ideas are great. Hubby thought it's a scary movie. Uhm, yes sci-fi, fantasy. But when he saw me crying he realized it was more of a drama. hehe. For me though.

Pixel Bug Weekend : Buco

Yesterday after church, we had lunch at Tokyo Tokyo, bought rocket launchers, one for each boy and looked in the department store if they have available curtain similar to the ones we saw in Puregold but only they have two pieces left. Unfortunately-unfortunate they don't sell the same precious curtains so I ended up buying a knife.

We spotted buko (coconut) desert in the fastfood and we're not mistaken to have stopped by and waited for 15 minutes in the long cue.
Until now I can't take my mind out of it. I liked the buco+fruit salad coz it's not too sweet, just right to the taste. It consists of freshly scraped buko meat, cantaloupe, watermelon, (1 pc.) lychee and mangoes in crushed ice and milk. What's enticing is that you'll eat from the buko itself. See the little guy can't wait to have a taste.

Happier

In a chat yesterday with my sister in law, it's so true what she said that it's best as a mom to be the one taking care of the kids. Not to put down the working moms out there. I salute you the same for it's even harder to be working and at the same time be on top of the family's needs. By the way, you can buy Fioricet the quick and easy way if you're having headaches.

The downside however for me is not having anyone to look after the kids so I need to tow them anywhere I need to go. But I'm happier now everytime I see the clean clothes and the crisp sheets on the clothesline, my beaming kids after their bath and the peacefulness of their sleep and my hubby wearing fresh clothes coz I know that I was the one who was in charge with all of those.

Quoting my sis in law, "Mahirap pero masaya." (It's hard, but it's rewarding.)

Post Halloween

Zenni has new arrivals available. I hope to have this for fun holiday eyeglasses.

But before that holiday comes halloween. I missed to carry the cam last night in our post halloween party at church. So I just took a photo of my little monster earlier.

I don't know why he likes this mask. Just don't show yourself to him in that mask and you'll scare him to death.

Pixel Bug Weekend- Three in One

Sassy Mom, here I am joining this Monday meme of yours on Wednesday. Pardon me. This is my first join and I'm posting late. Aawww!

But catching up, I'm posting three past weekends. O diba!

As you see this was last Saturday when Santi hit us hard but thankfully we didn't feel much harm. My inlaws fetched us and after we had lunch, we visited the new parents- my brother and sis in law + the new baby. Sadly, I didn't have my cam in tow.

Now this was two weekends ago when I first met my new bestfriend in SM Appliance Center.
We had snacks first at Bread Factory then Kuya Zach rode the helicopter.

I can't forget when we celebrated my FILs birthday three weekends ago. That's me in the green shirt, watching Zach play as i wait for my turn. Got me panting between laughs after running and jumping on the wii mat. But I beat hubby in tennis. Haha! =D

Thanks Sassy Mom for inviting me on PBW. Just hit the button above if you want to have fun reminiscing your past weekend.
