Christmas Eve 2011

We spent Christmas Eve at my mom's this time. We had Italian chicken, grilled salmon, bacon and cheese penne pasta in olive oil, gambas, ramen noodle salad, gelatin for dessert plus Carlo Rossi red wine.
Christmas setting
I got photos of our food but not with the people eating. Didnt get a descent one as I was focused at the food already.
Here's my sisters cupcakes. This is an order but of course there's leftover so I still got a taste of this yummy treat.

Christmas wasn't melo dramatic. Just pure fun. Though we missed our brother and his family who's in Australia. We know that they're filled with the love of Jesus.

Loads Of Fun For Only 10P

On our way home from church last Sunday, we passed by a vendor selling these rats for only Php 10. The kids had loads of fun playing with the rats. At first glance you'll thought it's a true rat chasing your feet, some even get startled. Just tell your kids to take care as this kind won't last long.

Christmas Shopping

Lots of people in the mall splurging their hard-earned money. Were one of them. We did a little shopping. Naks! But for the kids. We bought them new clothes, sandals and socks. And a new moving toy- a kick scooter.

Then I bought gifts for my parents, nephews and niece. Thanks to my blog earnings. Though I hope I had more to buy for my sisters and in-laws. Better luck next time. Heehee :D

You see we're avid fans of KFC and DQ Blizzards. But I was sad that they used peanuts instead of the usual cashew nuts for the double Dutch. And the Choco chips are fewer. I hope this is just for the Christmas season. Maybe they went out of stock. If not I'll be forever sad.

I hope the rain stops as we're going to Manila this afternoon.

Happy Sunday!

Photobook Preserving Boracay Memories

Was ecstatic upon the arrival of the photobook I ordered online.

Looking at the photos makes me feel like I wanna jump in and just frolic in the water and feel the sand in my feet.
A friend of mine who happened to be here asked me, "Gan'to ba talaga kaganda sa Boracay?" ("Is it really this beautiful in Boracay?") To which I quickly replied "Yes!"

Not A Grown-up Christmas List

I asked my eldest son while prepping him up to school this morning, about his Christmas wish. Though I saw how excited he was to see the new hotwheels tracks in the store last time we checked, I still asked him what he wanted for the next 9 days (huh! Only 9 days left?!) I'm so unaware. I haven't put up any Christmas ornaments, not a single one. But I plan to this weekend.

Okay, back to the topic. My son answered he wants a new bunny. One that looks like the lateCaramel. See, you don't know til you asked. So now, I'm more convinced we get a new bunny or two. Which im happy about. Though I'm afraid the daddy won't approve.

I asked the other son and he said he wants a transformers robot. This all depends to the daddy but for me, I want to give them what they wished for.

How about you? Have anything for the kids this Christmas already?

Official 4th Birthday Celebration

This is an overdue post so now I don't know how to start. It was rainy the past whole week so the connection was again intermittent. I wasn't able to post this fresh. Tsk!
We brought a cake to the children's ministry at church on Sunday, the day after Winter's birthday. I didn't count how many times he blew the candle but other kids need to put out the fire for him. He can't be a firefighter. Heehee :D

He got a toy truck as gift from ninong and ninang (godmother and godfather).

And a punching bag and boxing gloves from Tita kitts and Tito G.

We ate dinner at Flavors of China with my in-laws.

The kids burned their energy at Tumble World.

After an hour of play, their batteries still aren't discharged. The kids played at Tom's World. No more photos as I retired at the seat outside the arcade.

Our Starbucks Is Now Open!

I was right the moment I saw this building
construction that it's Starbucks. And then the next time we passed by Pavilion Mall, (which is 10 mins. and inevitable when we want to go anywhere), there's the sign "Starbucks Coming Soon." Since then, we've waited for the opening.
Finally, we had our first visit after hubby received his first paycheck from his new company last week. Yey! It's a celebration.
First week of opening and the seats are already always filled.

Had a hard time to choose from the display of salivating cake slices, breads and pastries. But the winners are Peppermint Brownies and Dark Chocolate & Walnut Cookies

Get the Peppermint Brownies if you want a new taste to your brownies. The Dark Chocolate & Walnut Cookies will definitely go into one of my orders next time.
The Mocha Frapp that hubby ordered was finished by Zach til the last drop. Hubby finished the coffee jelly that I ordered. It's a little bitter for my taste.

See you later Starbucks! I mean, it's at the side of the road so it's hard not to see It. Haha! :D

Happy 4th Birthday Winter!

Gosh! How time flies so fast. My youngest is now 4 yrs. old.

We realized its time for a double celebration. We learned that Zach is the top 4 in class for the 1st grading period. And he got 4 perfect scores in his summative test for the 2nd grading period. The daddy was so happy so we decided to go to SM for a treat.

We let them play at Tumble World for an hour. We planned to watch Breaking dawn but sadly, there were no more available seats except for the last full show. And we can't let the kids wait that long in the play house. So the treat for mommy was delayed. *sigh* We just bought blizzards at DQ and strolled in the mall.

Its the 1st time that we left Winter without an adult companion inside the playhouse. So we're curious whats going to happen. Dan dan Dan...he didn't cry but not happy as well.

We found out that they're both hungry already. Each finished 2 and a half slices of pizza. We strolled in the mall trying to look for kitchen shelf but nada. We ate at Tokyo Tokyo before heading home as we know that the kids will be sleeping already as soon as the car starts moving.

Happy Birthday Bunso! We love you dearly.

Zoobic Safari

It's good my son is still in grade 1 that he must be accompanied by a guardian in going to the field trip. I was able to go with him to Zoobic Safari last week...Yey!

Highlights:
1. Tiger Safari
Zoobic tigers
Shucks! I didn't know it's as this frightening to meet tigers in person. Two tigers appeared as we go in the middle of the Tiger Safari. I thought the tigers are going to tumble down the enclosed jeep that were riding in. Their body language, tiger-look eyes, big face, huge paws- they just looked so fierce. One tiger jumped up at the jeep's roof while the other one roared angrily when the feeder kept the chicken that the tiger was trying to eat. I think I was the one screaming the loudest among the kids.

2. Aeta's Trail

Dragonfly dance- that's what their dance is called. The Aeta brothers performed monkey dance and war dance too. I can say I'm amused at how they dance. The tour guide said aetas copy movements of animals coz they collaborate with them to forecast weather.

To be continued...
