Family Time At Alabang Town Center

We went to Alabang Town Center last Sunday after church. Whole day spend time galore with hubby's twin bro's family.

We so loved this game at Timezone. You just need to shoot the ducks with water into the small caves. A game of P17 collected 50+ tickets x 2 games = 100+ tickets. Which they exchanged for angry birds goodies. Winner!

Two daddies and a baby

Dionne: Water! hehehehe :D

We ate at the food court then Double Dutch Blizzards for dessert

Cheese And Spag Sold In Budget Packs

google image
I was so delighted yesterday when we went to Puregold Supermarket.

I want to share to all you wifeys and mommies that Cheezee and Quickmelt Cheese are sold now in budget packs for P20 each. And Del Monte Spaghettie Noodles in snack packs for also P20 each.

So now, you have a choice of cooking spaghetti in a whiff instead of instant noodles everyday for your kids' snacks.

Market brands today really innovate to the needs of the people so everyone can afford.

Mommy Moments: Fashion Tip

My two boys are only 6 and 3. And maybe because they're young that's why their sense of fashion depends on mommy's taste. Let's wait when they're bigger.

Clothes
We don't really follow the trends of the times. The clothes they wear are classic, simple and comfortable as what I prefer. Polo shirts, t-shirts, shorts, long pants and their rubber shoes. Some of their clothes are hand-me-downs from cousins and some are given by other relatives. I'm grateful that we don't need to buy them much clothes. As they grow into it really fast.
Just that, even now, I know that the little boy is more attuned to his fashion sense than the kuya. In a sense that he prefers Transformers shirt than a plain colored shirt. He refuses to wear the net-style sando. Hahaha!
Unlike the kuya who doesn't care what I let him wear.
Accessories
I think they're still young to wear accessories such as watch or jewelries. And my kids are very active! Not advisable.

Hair
Long or short hair, it suits my boys really well. They both have silky straight hair so it's easy to style. No need for hair gels.

Wedensday Whites: Zach's Report Card 1st Periodical Gr. 1

Happy to hear from the teacher that Zach's excelling in school.

The only thing is his orderliness. His things are always scattered on the floor as per the teacher. I talked to him about his teacher's comments. There's always room for improvement.

This is my share for:

Power Mac Center, Ben 10 And Dairy Queen

Yesterday, we had a quick trip to Festival Mall after getting Zach's report card in school (upnext).

After buying a shell, keyboard protector and bag for Mac (hubby's new MacBook Air), we ate our lunch at the food court.

We saw Ben 10 and the two boys can't miss to pose beside it. Though I only have my camera phone, I needed to take a snap.

At Dairy Queen. Zach loved the Double Dutch blizzard.

Winter finished a 6-oz. oreo blizzard

After finishing the blizzards....bbbbrrrrr

Great opportunity to have family spend times now that the daddy is jobless. Thanks to the recession in the US. But I'll be glad as well when he finds a job asap :D

MM: Tech Gadgets Techie Kids

mommy momentsOur kids opened their eyes with computers and internet in front of them. At the age of 3, they already know how to use a computer. Navigating a new gadget like an android cell phone is very "chicken" for them.

The internet was a great tool to get my son occupied. Especially when I was the only one taking care of the two of them and all the household chores. Anyway, those are educational games on the internet.

Little did I know that he's getting hooked up as time went by. He doesn't want to stop during meal time, nap time, or bath time. There's a time when my youngest son peed where he's seated in front of the computer table. And they're not anymore satisfied with kiddie websites and games like nickjr or pbskids. They want different kind of games. And they want their hands on the computer all day everyday.
Zach is playing P&Z while Winter is playing Angry Birds

That's when I thought that this has to stop. So from that time on, they're only allowed to play during weekends for 1 hour each. My hubby set the parental control of our computer. They can only use it when you log in to our account. And when they're using it, the internet connection is cut after 1 hour.

It's hard to implement the rule since they've really gotten used to being on the computer all day. There's a lot of whining, crying, begging and me getting annoyed. But I needed to be firm. And once I have broken the rule, when I let my youngest play during a weekday, or when I extended the time, he will try to break the rule the next day. We're back to 0 again. So remember to be consistent.

Now they're used to playing computer during weekends only. And it's easier for them to stop when their time's up.

Plus, we don't buy them their own gadgets like PSP, wii, or cell phones. Aside from the fact that we can't afford it, controlling their use of the computer is enough headache for us. :D

Wednesday Whites: Kumon

Kumon has a new center in Robinson's Mall in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

The center looks real nice not only outside but inside.

White chair. Winter automatically inspected the books.

Unfortunately, they only admit students who are 4 yrs. old and above. I left with a heavy heart.

Anyway, we tried to inquire at Binan center where Zach went to. Winter was scheduled for a diagnostic test this morning. I was the one who's nervous. Good news! He passed the test. So he will be going to Kumon every Tuesday and Thursday.

Late Buwan Ng Kultura Post

Wasn't able to post about Zach's "Buwan Ng Kultura" school program last August. But I won't let myself miss this chance.

Gabe and I arrived in school just in time to watch Kuya Zach do their dance number. It's a folk dance that I don't know the title to.

He traveled the whole circle before finally finding where he should be sitting. hehehe :D

With his classmates, Xander (on his right-hand side) and Joshua (left-hand side).

Posing with Gabe and Xander.

We stayed and watched performances from other levels.
Tinikling

Igorot Dance to the tune of "Magkaugnay."

Sayaw sa Bangko gained lots of claps and cheers as the students danced gracefully on slim and 2 storey high benches. They won first prize for their group level.

I allowed myself to reminisce my school days of folk dancing. First time that I stayed til the end of the school program. Wasn't able to take photos of the poems and song performances as Gabe slept in my arms.
