Zach's 7th Birthday Phineas and Ferb Theme

It was raining all week but one fine Saturday, God answered our prayers and gave us a very beautiful sunshine. We celebrated Zach's 7th birthday last July 7, 2012, a day ahead of his real birthday.

At the entrance of the village clubhouse you will see a Candace standee welcoming the guests. Unfortunately hubby didn't finish putting Candace's dialogue starting with the famous line "Mom, Phineas and Ferb..." and I was thinking of adding "...are making Zach's birthday blast!" Now that's disappointment #1.

The lovely balloon decors were made by a couple friend of ours. While I got the idea of Dr. Doofenschmirtz piƱata from Tomianne's blog. I made the body which is made out from Manila paper and made into a bag. And hubby did all of it- the legs and feet, arms, hands, head, face and hair. Zach was so delighted when he saw Dr. Doof hanged from our cabinet.

Hubby cropped the tarpaulin background from the puppet show template in Disney website. We just chose the characters and pasted it in the design. The star foil balloons were bought from my trip in Divisoria at P50 each. The tarps - backdrop (6x3 ft) Phineas and Ferb and Candace standees cost P980 all in all (excluding Styropore and wood stands).

Say hello to Phineas and Ferb. We stashed these characters still from the puppet show template. Good thing, the photos are in high resolution so we have made it printed in 3ft. sizes tarpaulin. It's seldom you can find a shop that has big ordinary papers other than tarpaulin. Hubby cut the tarp and pasted them on styropore. Again, the giant number 7 foil balloon is from Divi for only P100. I don't see balloons similar to this in department stores. And if there's any it would've cost maybe around P300 or more.

These charming cupcakes were made by my sister. Note: She forgot to put sprinkles. But they're so irresistible that some kids poked and tasted some icing even before the party started.

I was so surprised and delighted when I saw this Agent Perry cake. It's my Ate's first time to make fondant icing and make characters out of it. It doesn't only look good but tastes the best too. It's moist and chewy. It feels good to it eat. The whole cake is edible by the way, from the hat, no. 7, the mushrooms, grasses and Phineas and Ferb except for the letter candles. Each letter candle costs P10 each from Divi.

The cupcake toppers were printed by my SIL and stick on a toothpick. I planned to stick the cut outs on board paper but I got no more time.

I wasn't able to find Phineas and Ferb merchandise items anywhere. Good thing I found a shop, i think hes the only one in Divisoria, who makes customized badges. We cropped an image from google and added some texts. Inside the loot bags are mini flashlights, erasers, fan, ID holder, and an egg that hatches with a dinosaur inside that grows when soaked in water.

This is the "Make your own ice cream station." As a small act to mimic Phineas and Ferb who are always inventing and creating things. Unfortunately, there's no Vanilla Ice Cream flavor available which should've been more apt for the toppers. Anyway, kids still enjoyed the ice cream in strawberry, Choco, mango, cookies and cream and ube Flavors. The toppings they have to choose from were cashew bits, mini mallows, Choco bits, sprinkles, crushed Oreo, and Choco lentils (nips). Some put all of the toppings altogether hehe :) But the best sellers are Choco lentils, sprinkles, and mini mallows. Look at the delight in the kids' faces :D

More photos up next :)
