Disney's Little Einsteins TV Series

www.starpulse.com
Whew! After two days, the download is finished. My sons have been waiting for it. We have no Playhouse Disney Channel from our tv program provider :P So I just downloaded the episodes.

But to my dismay, only five out of 20 videos are working. Surprisingly, a Handy Manny episode was included.

Anyway, thankful that it kept them occupied for half of the morning at least. Winter, my 3 yr. old loves to sing and dance along in some of the episodes. He can already sing the theme song of Little Einsteins.

Little Einsteins TV Series teaches young kids the appreciation for (classical) music, musical instruments and arts. Injecting knowledge about animals and places as the four kids, Leo, Quincy, Annie and June travel in different parts of the world (even in outer space) together with their friend Rocket. Little Einsteins stories show examples of good moral values like helping one another, friendship, sharing and kindness.

Our basic tv program subscription is limited to Cartoon Network and Disney Channel. Where there are not enough good shows for kids. I'm wishing for National Geographic or The Animal Planet but you need to pay for additional to have them added to your program list. Good thing we can download educational shows from the internet :D

Win A Vintage Necklace While Helping A Deaf Child Hear

I came upon Grace's blog. I was compelled to join her contest. I don't join contests that much. But this one I will join not mainly for the prize but for the cause.

Her daughter Kassandra was diagnosed with congenital hearing loss. According to the medical examinations, she needs hearing aids to be able to hear. They need financial assistance to buy a pair of hearing aids worth P106,000.

But hey those vintage necklaces are cute. I would love to wear them if ever I win.

Zach's Moving Up

Last Sunday, Mar. 27, 2011, Zach, had their moving up exercises. He's now accepted to the elementary level in Grade 1. How time flies!

What's surprising is that he is an Achiever in the class! He got a bronze medal for being included in the top ten of his class. His name wasn't mentioned as one of the Achievers during the announcement at the parent's meeting. We only knew of it when I saw his name in the programme leaflet during the graduation.

Here's one proud dad.

We are grateful for the ever-present support of his loving grandparents.

And of course, the happy brother.

All glory belongs to God!

Mommy Moments: White Toga And Cap

Sorry for the late entry. Have been busy lately preparing for the last weekend. Been tidying up the house and washing rags etc. Preparing for the monthly get together with hubby's family. We're the host this month. But turned out there was a miscommunication between hubby and our visitors.

Nonetheless, my father and mother in law were here and they're able to watch Zach march during the moving up exercises. Of course, the white toga and cap.

Zach will be in Grade 1 this coming school year.

Winter Update

These photos were from one of our family dates last november 2010. Do you see how big Winter is already?  No more baby for us :D He's now 3 yrs. and 3 months.
We're planning to enroll Winter to Kumon this April. We'll see how it works for him. If not then we'll enroll him to regular nursery schooling.
If you remember before I was telling you how Kumon helped a lot for Zach to learn how to read. He learned how to read at 3 yrs. old. Of course my two sons have different abilities. But at least we know that Kumon methods work very well.
If we could just afford, we'll let Zach continue his advance Elementary Math in Kumon. But with two kids going to school by June, we can't afford any more P1,800 per month/subject. Unless we'll find a good hearted sponsor haha :D

Mommy Moments: Purple

We're not always surrounded by the purple color. So this is what I've come up.
Purple balloons and purple swing at Cosmic Kidz in MOA.
Purple lights in Luneta dancing fountain.

Zach's Quiz Bee

Zach had their school quiz bee last Friday. He competed for the spelling subject.
He didn't win but at least he got the exposure and experience.

Winter slept during half of the quiz bee so I wasn't able to take a decent photo of Zach while he's competing. I was carrying Winter with my other hand when I took the photo above.

My Son's Feeling Giddy

This isn't the first time my kids have seen the movie "Tangled." And I was surprised that the other night while approaching the kissing scene, Zach, my 5-yr. old, was feeling giddy and ran and hid his face in the pillow, laughing. This morning, he had the same reaction while watching it.

I asked him why he's so giddy. He said that it's because Rapunzel and Eugene kissed and got married. And he said he doesn't want to get married. I told him yes he's too young to get married. But someday when he gets older, he will have a girlfriend and he will marry her.
Well as long as he's saying "I don't want to have a girlfriend," I'll cherish being the apple of his eyes.

Thanks To Google Adsense PIN

Yey! My google adsense is up and running again. Thanks to the PIN. After just two hours of adding my PIN to my account, my google adsense is again serving ads.
I shared previously that my google adsense has suddenly been serving public service ads after some time. I found out that the google adsense PIN is necessary to verify your adsense account.
Now let me add more ads to my blogs :D

Now these are the not so recent photos from my archives.
Winter's pony was green.
This was during Winter's 2nd birthday. The boys were roughhousing while waiting for our companions going to Enchanted Kingdom.

Why Am I Getting Public Service Ads?

My google adsense was working properly for months already then suddenly, I'm getting Public Service Ads. Note that you get no earnings with PSAs, which sad :( Coz i've seen my earnings accumulating by day.
I checked their program policies and it seems my site have followed them. I also tried removing and putting back my ads (without manipulating their code) but still no changes.
I tried using the adsense troubleshooter and I think I got the answer. It shows that I've not verified my adsense account by entering my PIN. They have a verification threshold of $10. So if you reach that amount, your account needs to be verified. Not doing so, triggers the PSAs.
I remember requesting for my PIN and my record says that it was sent to our former address (my mother's). But when I asked my sister, they haven't received any. So I requested for it again to be sent to our current address. It says the mailer comes in 3-5 weeks. Hay!
Learn more about google adsense PIN here.

Tangled At Home

One lazy Saturday last February, we stayed home and watched Tangled.
The little kul isn't in the mood here.

Movie watching is more fun with food. So the daddy treated us for Almond ice cream and Taisan bread. I should say it's a great combination.
I love Saturdays!

Mommy Moments: Orange

The coys in Nuvali are so fun to look at, in different shades of orange. We went there in July last year for Zach's birthday. We plan to visit this place again one of these days.
This is one of the Starfall sessions I have with Winter last Nov. 2010. This website is truly helpful for kids who are learning how to read. It's very interactive so kids don't notice that they're learning. They thought they're just having fun. They frequently go to this page where you choose the eyes, nose and mouth like making your own pumpkin carving. Then when the pumpkin's complete, they let mommy dance with it. tsk tsk kids!
I let Zach also go to this website when he was 3 yrs. old. But until now, he enjoys visiting the site as there are still pages appropriate to his age like (online) storybooks for kids who know how to read already.
I've some more updated photos to share but the lappie's acting up and it can't read the SD card. sheesh...

Bathing By Himself And Joining The Quiz Bee

Since last month I let Zach take a bath by himself. Provided there's plenty of time. Though he can't still put on his shirt by himself. Most 5-yr. olds already can but I know he will soon learn.

I was informed that the teachers included him to the Quiz Bee in Spelling that will happen on Mar. 6, 2011.  I reviewed him some of the words that might be included. But I actually don't know what words will be asked during the quiz bee so I just guessed. But then he doesn't want to review yet and we're just having a fight. So maybe it's best not to give him a lot of pressure.
