Mommy Moments: Dear Daddy

Dear daddy,
I'm grateful that you're the daddy of my kids. God really knows best.
We are parents in trial and error. We thought we knew how but soon we realize we don't. And that realization points us how God parents us - loving, kind and gentle. I can see how you are becoming more patient and not harsh than me to the boys most of the time now, amazingly. I am so proud of you! I know that it's because you decided to do again the things that you missed to do for your first love - our Father. I know it's not easy. But I'm really glad to know that you're doing your best...in everything, in small steps everyday. You really inspire me!
More than providing for us, your family with material things, you give us your love and time. And that is most precious to us.
I love you honey, together with our kids!

A Day In The Life Of Zach and Winter

Sunday starts with getting ready to church in the morning. At church, Zach and Winter already know where they're supposed to go - at the child care. I'm grateful that Winter is now brave enough to stay there without me by his side. It was a stage that I'm glad we have surpassed.
Lunch Time at a Red Chill Restaurant. It's on the 2nd floor and we chose to dine outside the resto. Reason why opt to stay away from the mall is to breathe some fresh air.
Winter was mesmerized by the beauty of the sky and the strong winds. He stayed still like this for three minutes. That's long already for this boy.

While waiting for mommy to feed him...

After our lunch (sorry, too hungry to take a photo of our food), we headed back to church for Mommy and daddy's song practice. More play time there!
After the practice, we went to a nearby salon for Zach's haircut. Will post a photo of him with his new hair next time.

Our tricycle stations going home are in Pavilion Mall so if there's an activity at the mall, we always see them happen. Last Sunday we got a chance to watch Nyoy Volante live and FREE! More about Nyoy

That's one busy and fun Sunday! How did your weekend go?

Foundation and Family Day

We attended Zach's school Foundation and Family Day last Saturday.
Zach almost can't join the program coz he lost the shirt uniform that the teacher gave him the other day. Good thing, one of the pupils was able to keep it in her bag.
The program started with a parade in the morning around the village. We're in the Green Team.
I like the get up of the Red Team.
Winter went robotics while waiting for Kuya from the parade.
At the start of the program, Zach still has those glitters on his face.

Yes, Zach is included in the Dance Competition. Everybody is :D Look how one of the girls is telling him to go where he's supposed to go with all the boys, haha :D nawawala ang anak ko.

The greent team didn't in the cheering or dance competitions. But zach had fun and so did we :D
Sadly, Zach incidentally deleted all the videos from my cellphone. You should've seen how he danced.

Blinds For Our Bedrooms

When my sister visited before, she said it's her first time to see a house so bright. A major factor are our numerous windows not including the big window fronting the sun in the afternoon. We have put blinds in one of the windows in front. And other windows have curtains. Sturdy blinds are a bit expensive. But I plan to put blinds too at our bedroom windows instead of curtains. Reason is the great sunlight and I imagine a lot of laundry in the future if I'll be putting curtains in all those windows. Do you know of any Cheap Blinds?

Email Marketing

Four years since I resigned from my last work because of my pregnancy. And before then email marketing is not familiar to me. I've never even seen anemail marketing newsletter then. Technology today has really helped in all industries including the marketing field. Calling your clients is a necessary first step for you to introduce your product or services. Today, marketers just send emails. And it is helpful especially for the fast-paced businesses of today. I bet email marketing has made information dessimination easier. And eventually selling becomes easier, don't you think?

Your Company's Web Design Logo

The web design logo is a very nice tool that creates identity for your website or blog. It is seen everytime your site is visited. It is helpful so people will remember your website or your company through your logo. Your website logo can communicate what your business is all about. So that seeing your logo for the first time will give interest to your company. A logo of a community that promotes caring for the environment can have a green color and people holding hands in a circle guarding a plant. So never take for granted the importance of your web design logo. It's a small tool that can create big impact.

My Nephews in Australia

The wonders of the internet. Glad I don't need to wait for 48 years to be able to know how my relatives in another country are doing. Is the search marketing company responsible for this? If you miss them and you want to see them or chat with them, just go in front of your online computer.

These are my nephews from my only brother who left with his whole family to Australia for work last January. I think they went hiking in this place. It'll be years before they come back here in the Philippines. So at least, I don't miss out on how tall they're getting. I also saw photos of their house. And I joked about it that I can fit right in their huge sofa. And glad to know that it's there ready and waiting for me, haha! :D

Creating Your Own Blog

I've been receiving comments from friends who have become frequent readers here in my blog. I'm glad to hear that they're inspired by my writings and the simple stories that I share. :D  Some express how they wish to have a blog like mine too. I tell them even urge them to go for it. Especially when I know that they have a lot to share. They're like afraid to start that they might not be able to continue. Or afraid of the technical aspects. Those thoughts are not new to me I said. And we are lucky that easy web designs are available online. All you need to do is muster a little guts to start your blog. If ever you're lost along the way, you can always message me through the comments section or in the chat box. Here's a simple nudge to get you started.
1. For starters without technical know-how (like me), start creating your blog at blogger.com. It's free and user-friendly especially for starters. There's an abundance of templates that are fun and easy to use.
2. Choose your niche. A niche is a category that you want to focus your blog upon. It should be something that you love so you have a lot to share. What is it that you want to talk about? Travel, food and recipes, women issues, motherhood, family, relationships, technology and gadgets? I started this blog with a general category. And now I have categorized topics to be (as much as possible) mostly about my kids so it's probably a mom blog. I have now created another blog that talks more about me and marriage.
3. Decide if you want to monetize your blog or not. If you choose to earn through your blog, just message me here.
4. Lastly, don't be afraid to start your own blog.
Once you pop, you can't stop!

Luneta, Rizal Park and Light & Sound Museum

Last Jan. 31, 2011, I joined my son Zach on his first educational field trip. It took me so long but I'll share about it anyway.

First destination is Luneta and Rizal Park. These parks are newly renovated so they look beautiful and presentable once again. I think they really tightened the security to be accomodating for tourists and visiting locals like us. The place is clean like there were no street children roaming around or lurkers sleeping.

Zach insisted that I take a photo of him with the monkey.

We were given a short time here so we didn't roam around like most of the kids and parents did. We did just a little pichur-pichur. Plus, we already visited the place last December 26. So we just ate our breakfast instead.
Second stop is at the Light & Sound Museum in Intramuros. This place is new to me. Inside, you will know all about the Philippine history. The story is being narrated while you walk along like walking through corridors of ancient times.
The movement of the mechanized wax manequins sometimes make Zach laugh. Taking pictures is prohibited so we only have shots at the museum lobby.

Up next is about our visit to Fort Santiago and Manila Ocean Park.

Burger Patties With Malunggay

You can make more rounded patties :D
A friend mentioned to me that burger patties with malunggay is good for digestion. Great idea for Winter (and me) who has constipation most of the time. And we know that malunggay is  rich in fiber, iron and calcium.
It's the simple recipe for burger patties. Mix together the ground pork or beef, chopped onions, chopped garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce, sugar, egg, flour and chopped malunggay leaves. Fry it and serve hot with your favorite catsup and hot rice.
I'm glad the kids liked it :D
I've tried putting diced tofu before and it's good too.

Tile Floors For Our Home

Two weeks ago we visited my hubby's twin bro and his family in their new place. They recently had a new baby and then moved to their own home. So we're visiting for two reasons.
We made a trip around the whole neighborhood and looked at the houses and cute gardens. The model house is always an exciting place to visit in every village so we didn't miss to go there. Of course it's always refreshing to look at the very nice home accessories like curtains, lights and wall racks. Getting ideas from interior designs of kitchens, living areas and bedrooms are always a fun tactic. I and hubby noticed the very nice tiles in the bedrooms. They look like Hardwood Floor but they're actually tiles. It really looks homey and it's not slippery - safe for the kids. Oh our kids might not be kids anymore when the time (and budget) comes for us to change our vinyl tiles. Anyhow, we have a tile style on target!

Banned From Internet Games

We decided to ban the two boys from playing internet or any video games.
At first, we gave them one hour each of them everyday to play internet or downloaded games in the laptop.  Later on, they won't stop when the alarm goes off. The other computer's internet setting will automatically be disconnected after one hour when logged in to guest. They will ask for another minute so we give them another 30 minutes to an hour sometimes. And later on became 2, 3 hours. But later on, we hear lots of whining and crying when we don't give them another hour to play. At a young they have addiction already. It's getting worse. So we decided not to let them play anymore. It's more than two weeks already.
Since then, they learned to be excited again to play with their toys. They look more normal kids than playing on the internet everyday.
Books are revisited once again which is better.
Kuya Zach would always ask if he can play the internet but we won't approve it.
Finally, last night the daddy approved to Zach's asking if they can play. But they will have to wait until the weekend.
On my part, I need to be firm for their scheduled time only. For everyone's sake and happiness.
Good day everyone!

Mommy Moments: Favorite Love Song

I knew this song, "You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins from Disney's Tarzan movie. But I was able to really appreciate it when it was used for a movie clip featuring the faces of our own dear children at church. I was teary-eyed watching the clip as I listen to the lyrics of the song. Since then, it's became my love song for my kids. It speaks of what's inside my heart for my sons.
Happy weekend everyone!

Zach's 1st Educational Trip

The mommy is still exhausted. But we enjoyed the field trip so I needed to share at least some photos from it.

Our first destination is Luneta or Rizal Park. I took this opportunity to eat our breakfast as I know it's going to be a long day.

Second stop is the Light and Sound Museum in Intramuros.

And then still inside Intramuros, we visited the historical Fort Santiago.

Our last stop, where we we enjoyed the most is the Oceanarium at the Manila Ocean Park.
