Oreo And Caramel, Our Pet Bunnies

Announcing the new members of our family - Oreo and Caramel
Zach have been wanting to own pet bunnies. And I told him we'll get him one if he has good grades. The boy made his promise true but the mommy can't due to our family's present economic state.

But thanks to lolo and lola for thoughtfully fulfilling the promise.

We first called these bunnies, Blaster and Hurley from G-Force movie. And then, their lola told us they're a boy and a girl. So I thought of naming them Angie and Brad. But because they're my kids' pets and not mine, Oreo and Caramel, as their color suggests, won the name battle.

This is our first time to have real pets at home. Remember that my son Zach was bitten by a stray cat when he was 2 years old and then by a dog the next year.

It's our first time to take care of rabbits. Thank God there's google to search about rabbit care, food and some important facts about rabbits.

My daughter has been bugging me to get her a pet rabbit too. I'm just not too keen on the idea. How are your kids with pet care? Is it really that hard? I just don't want to clean up poop :)

@Pepper, it's easy to clean rabbit's poops though they make great lots but they're just like raisins. At least it's not wet, messy and stinky like a cat's or a dog's. The Bly problem is feeding. They eat a lot so you need to control their eating. Not too few and not too many as they get over fed and die as in the case of Oreo.
