www.heartifying.com

My new blog is up! Bearing the customized domain name www.heartifying.com. It's so heartifying isn't it!

Last February, I registered a domain name at Go Daddy but after using it for my new blog I just didn't feel a connection. I think the name is more appropriate for a techie blog, being suggested by my techie hubby. So after I got ideas from wordoid.com, I got a new domain name that I think suits my blog very much.

What is heartifying?

Shower Before The Wedding

It's not June yet but another acquaintance is going to get married this April. Before the big day a bridal shower usually happens. It's said that the bridal shower is the last party that the bride to be will attend before she changes her status to being married. That's why it's also an event to look forward to. And lots of fun and naughty things could happen in the said party. The bridesmaids are the ones planning a bridal shower at the bride's parent's home. Mostly everybody knows the place so there wouldn't be so much hassle. The ladies attending the party can also have a car pull or go commuting together. There wouldn't be guys to escort the ladies so it would be better to go together.
I don't know if they're going to have a Hawaiian bridal shower theme. That's what we had during mine. I haven't seen the invitation yet. I don't remember anymore what the invitation for my bridal shower looked like or did I have any? But I think homemade bridal shower invitations are cute. I remember that I had fun during my bridal shower except that I lost my pictures. Poor me a don't have a souvenir of the fun moments. After our wedding it seemed like I forgot all of my things behind when we went to our honeymoon. :P

Earth Hour

I support.

Earth Hour Video

Why get involved?

Put simply, because our future depends on it!

Earth Hour has done a lot to raise awareness of climate change issues. But there’s more to it than switching off lights for one hour once a year. It’s all about giving people a voice on the future of our planet and working together to create a sustainable low carbon future for our planet.

You can support Earth Hour by:
  1. Turning off your lights at 8.30PM on March 27 (Australian Time).
  2. Showing your support and adding yourself to our world map.
  3. Adding Earth Hour widgets, logos and banners to your blog or website to help us spread the word. You could even be our Earth Hour Online Supporter of the Day.
  4. Talking about Earth Hour in your social network by updating your Facebook status, grabbing a Twibbon, tweeting about your support, and more
  5. Get together with your friends and family, by hosting an Earth Hour party or holding your own candlelit affair
  6. Rally your local council or community group to run an Earth Hour event for your community
  7. Encourage your employer and workmates to take part in Earth Hour and make energy savings every day
  8. Make an Earth Hour Lantern as a symbol of hope for the future.
  9. Be creative! Find a new way to mark Earth Hour and let us know all about it!

Mommy Moments: Summer So Far

So far this was what we have done since summer started.

A visit to the river in Batangas where the daddy spent summers during his childhood.

Biking around the neighborhood.

Ice cream on a hot lazy afternoon.

We'll stay overnight in a campsite this weekend. I really hope we could bring the kids to a beach this summer. If ever, it'll be their first time.

Summer classes are also in the list. Either Taekwondo, art classes or swimming lessons. Just haven't really found time to scout for a descent one in the area. In the meantime I plan to do arts and crafts with the kids.

Join the summer fun here at

N-Viro Care

At this time of our life where there's so much pollution in our
environment and issues of climate change and global warming, it's just relieving to know that there are companies who care about our one and only planet. The N-viro technology is a patented treatment for the safe and efficient recycling of wastewater sludge and bio-organic waste to energy. They have developed four different technologies that manage the Soil, Bio-Dry, Bio-Fuel and Bio-Blend. These technologies are big help to supplement the loss of vital sources of energy, fertilizers, and saving what's there in the environment. They license their technology to municipalities and private companies in the local Florida and internationally.

What's in these days which N-viro also uses are the words recycling, renewing, converting and transforming. They can transform human waste to clean coal, a significant resource of vital energy today. What's good about this is that coal is the cheapest source of energy richly available in the U.S despite all the changes that are happening worldwide.

High School Life

High school life, ba’t ang high school life
ay walang kasing saya
bakit kung graduation na’y
luluha kang talaga?

I missed singing this song in high school. Skipping 3rd and 4th year meant missing a lot. I didn't experience graduation. I missed the Junior-Senior Prom. I didn't learn about Chemistry and Physics. And most of all, I envy the friendships who have seemed to have been nurtured during the high school days. I felt OP at times when I attended one of the mini reunions. That's natural and expected. Can't really bring back what was lost in time.

Just glad that I have a company with me going home. I was glad that we were able to talk after how many years. He said he envies those, including me, who have made a step already with having their own family. Had I agreed to walk a few blocks of the way home then we should have talked longer and maybe made him feel lighter. He's one of my few close friends in high school. And an unexpected more-than-friends-relationship blossomed when we're in college already. (OOppss! hubby's reading :P) Wishing him all the best in life :D

Congratulations to all who graduated this year!

New Eye Wear Please

The contact lenses I've been using are starting to irritate me. It's taking a lot of my time cleaning them. It's nearing expiration that's why.

Now I'm thinking of buying a new eye wear instead of using contact lenses. Glasses are expensive but in the long run, I'm spending more buying contacts every year. The only difference is that contacts are more convenient without the hassle of your kids grabbing them from your eyes. But sometimes I take double looks on those wearing glasses fit to the shape of their face. And I can't help but look at fashionable eye wears in shops.

Practicality is the word nowadays. So I think I would really need to see things through my eye wear.
