I Am They

Music helps me connect to God.

Lately, I've been listening to my favorite Christian band, I Am They on youtube. Their songs are very relatable and singable. We have started singing some of their songs in our local church since we discovered their songs last year, "Over And Over Again" and "Your Love Is Mine." I discovered that most of their songs are so good that if only we could sing all of them, we will! When I listen to each one of their songs for the first time, it's like my heart is made into each of their songs, haha!

Here's one of their songs that I love, King of Love:

As selfless as they are, they post video tutorials how to play their songs on guitars on their website - i am they website. Or you may just type their name I Am They on youtube and their videos will appear.

I Am They, as I heard from one of their interviews, started out as a band in their local church. It's the other way around with other churches. They import a band to lead the worship in their church. I Am They started out as worship leaders in their own local church. That is the reason why their songs sound very churchy (ssaarreehhh, I'm inventing here) and not commercial sounding. They make their songs for the reason of worship and not for show.

During the previous Worship Camp in Antipolo City last May 27-29, 2016, we sang one of I Am They's songs, "From The Day" to represent the church in Biñan, Laguna. The camp was attended by worship leaders all over the Philippines. The house was on fire when we sang. We felt very ecstatic to see all people united to celebrate God's saving grace through the song. We didn't expect that is how our presentation would turn out, it's not perfect, but I'm glad it was how it was. Only by God's grace.

Also, I want to give a shoutout to our young violinist, Jacq, who added the sound of violin, when in the original, there's none. And also, Gemma, perused the ukelele as we don't have the banjo from the original. And of course, my hubby is the one in the first guitar hhhooot! :D Glory to God!
Good day lovelies!
