Cheese And Hotdog Omelet With Moringa Leaves

how to hotdog, eggs and cheese
Good day everyone! We know that Moringa Leaves or Malunggay as what we call it here in the Philippines, is very nutritious. Moringa is rich in vitamin A, Potassium, Calcium (that's why lactating moms get dozes of it), Protein and vitamin C.

In our neighborhood, you'll see Moringa tree everywhere. It's leaves are good to add in viands which makes it easy for me to have nutritious food served for the boys. I don't find it hard making them eat any food I put malunggay in coz it doesn't have a vegetabley taste.
chopped malunggay
Ingredients are slightly beaten eggs, sliced hotdogs, cheese bits, chopped moringa leaves, salt and pepper. The first version I made, I put chopped tomatoes which tastes better for my taste buds but the boys didn't appreciate it a lot because of the vegetabley taste of tomatoes. But you know, everything which has tomato and cheese in it tastes great for me! This is when it looks icky...

But the result is great! Yummy and nutirious!

Hi Jona! I love this omelet dish you shared. It's a healthy alternative. I never thought of adding malunngay leaves. I'll try this, definitely I'll add it to my menu especially when school starts.

@Enchie, healthy alternative , yes! thanks for drpping by Ench!

@ Apple, moringa is actually a scientific name (moringa oleifera). its easier to let people recognize it by that name esp. in other counries where malunggay doesnt grow in. thanks for yoiur time Apple!

This looks really good. I would like to have tomatoes in it too. anyway, good thing your boys eat it even if there's malungay. You're right you cannot taste a funny thing with malungay. good job. Thanks for the comment at my blog sis.
