Attended A Wedding

Last Saturday, we attended a friends' wedding. We were early at the venue as hubby was the official photographer.
Before the wedding, Winter had a show while playing around. I forgot to tighten his pant's garter but he kept on running even if his pants were halfway down his legs. hehehe :D

Kuya Zach was the ring bearer.

I missed joining Family Time meme so here's my entry.

Winter Is Weaned

Milestone. Winter is now drinking milk from the cup. Yeeyy! No more bottles!

The bottle trainer with a soft-spout was a great help for his transition to glass. After his 3rd birthday, we changed his baby bottles to a bottle trainer with a soft spout. He used to still lay down while drinking from the soft-spout like feeding from the baby bottles. The soft-spout is a silicone nipple but it's shaped like a spout.

It was a blessing in disguise when we accidentally left his soft spout bottle trainer at church last Sunday. He's forced to drink milk from the (plastic) glass. He resisted the cup at first but it wasn't that hard to convince him.

He spilled milk a lot of times so I bought a cup with a spill-proof lid. Others in the market have lots of parts which can be a hassle when cleaning and assembling. I chose the Barney brand coz it has the simplest design.

Congratulations Winter! You're a big boy now. Very swiftly.

Krispy Kreme Go Nuts

Hubby arrived last Friday with three boxes of donuts. I was able to capture a pic of only two boxes. As the first box immediately went to the garbage can. Can't blame us. It's been a long time.

My fave candidate is Ube Cake Crumble from Go Nuts (purple glazed) and the Glazed Devil's Food Cake from Krispy Kreme (brown loop).

Mickey Mouse Donut from Go Nuts is still the champion for the kids. Of course it's finish even before I was able to take a pic.

MM: Sports

The boys aren't into sports that much. Once or twice I think, I heard Zach say, "I want to be the world's greatest soccer player." Influence of a program in cartoon network.
But as of now, they only show bit of hints as to the sports that they might be into when they grow up.

Car Racing. Most of their toys are Hotwheels, Tomy and any other kinds of cars, even truck machines like CAT dump trucks, excavators, cranes etc.

Track and Field. The moment they step in an open field, expect them to run around like there's no tomorrow.

Dancing. If you'll just see how my sons dance...dancing is a sport.

Swimming. Very much loved. Zach has taken steps to learn how to swim with the use of the ever reliable floaters.

When Will Your Child Learn How To Write?

According to babycenter.com, writing is a developmental skill that doesn't have a timetable. So even if your child takes time how to learn to, he could still be developmentally on track.

At 12 to 18 months, he may be able to hold a crayon or a fat pencil. He may be a scribbling master at 16 months. And later on at 26 to 30 months, bigger scribbles will look like figures and the one which looks like chicken scratches are attempts to write letters.

At around 3yrs.old or past his 3rd birthday, he may be able to write his name or some letters of it.

Winter is now 3 yrs. and 8 months old.  I make letters as dotted lines so he can trace but he's still not interested. At the moment, his favorite scribbles are big circles with two small circles inside which would look like a face. He likes to color and scribble. And most of the time, he asks his kuya to draw cars, houses or anything for him to stare at. heehee :D

Children develop at different rates. And there's no need to put pressure on your child if he takes time.

Love Letter To God

The letter says: (edited spelling, punctuation and capitalization)
Dear God,
Thank you for this wonderful day.
Thank you for the food.
Please bless this letter I got for you.
Thank you for the rain to grow the plants.
Thank you for the sunshine and thank you for the sky and clouds.
Thank you for the air so we can breathe.
Thank you for making me.
I love you God.

This was written by my 6-yr. old son Zach one morning while waiting for his school bus. Most of the time our prayers are just full of requests. Nothing wrong with that. He's not asking for anything in his prayer. Just grateful for the things that he has. And I thought, when was last time that I just thanked God for the things He's already given me.
No one told him to make one. I've also been hearing him saying that he loves God." I'm always touched when I hear him say that.
He has childish characters that we want him to grow out on. He puts me at the end of my line most of the time. But at times when he says that he loves God, our prayer that he'll decide to study the Bible someday, looks clearer.

Weekend in Tagaytay

It could've been more fun for the kids if it didn't rain when we went to Tagaytay Picnic Grove last Saturday.
On the way there, we were hesitant to push through but we still did despite of the weather. As we arrived Tagaytay Picnic Grove, the rain stopped until we're done with the prenup photoshoot at noon! God's really awesome!

Hubby still managed to take a snapshot of us during the photoshoot.
After eating panutsa.

I did the make up, directed some of the shots, and acted as the second shooter. These are my shots.
