The letter says: (edited spelling, punctuation and capitalization)
Dear God,
Thank you for this wonderful day.
Thank you for the food.
Please bless this letter I got for you.
Thank you for the rain to grow the plants.
Thank you for the sunshine and thank you for the sky and clouds.
Thank you for the air so we can breathe.
Thank you for making me.
I love you God.
This was written by my 6-yr. old son Zach one morning while waiting for his school bus. Most of the time our prayers are just full of requests. Nothing wrong with that. He's not asking for anything in his prayer. Just grateful for the things that he has. And I thought, when was last time that I just thanked God for the things He's already given me.
No one told him to make one. I've also been hearing him saying that he loves God." I'm always touched when I hear him say that.
He has childish characters that we want him to grow out on. He puts me at the end of my line most of the time. But at times when he says that he loves God, our prayer that he'll decide to study the Bible someday, looks clearer.
