Zoob Toy

My sons' new craze is the Zoob Toy. It's a gift from my sis in laws to Zach for his birthday last July 8 (2011).  I've been wanting to buy them this toy since I knew that they're going to love it. Like the building blocks there's endless possibilities that they can make through this toy expressing their imgination and creativity.

Zach made Wall-E and a bicycle for Zoob Dude Driver hehe :D

The box comes with model guides but my sons love to create anything freestyle.

Zach's 6th Birthday

2 weeks ago Zach celebrated his 6th birthday. We can't buy him a gift but we want to make him feel special. So we decided to make him a video.

Zach's 6th Birthday from jonalyn quita on Vimeo.

Then the day after his birthday his lolo, lola, titos and titas went to our house and we had an unplanned bday celebration.

We went to Nuvali and ate at Yellow Cab courtesy of tito Edwin and tita Sugar. Thanks to our sponsors! :D

Then in the children's ministry during church, I let him blow his bday candle on my very own mango float.

There's nothing more precious than to see your son so happy on his birthday :D

Lighting Fixtures For The Minimalist

As I've mentioned before, we chose not to decorate our house with glass displays or furnitures and the like. Just not yet. We want to have a lot of free space for our kids. And as well, we want to go for the minimalist style.

The minimalist only goes for things that are only necessary in the home. One of the necessities in the home are lightings. Home lightings can also be evident of being a minimalist style which are not bulky and yet very durable. Just like the lampclick lighting fixtures. We have seen a lighting fixture/ceiling fan that we love which looks similar to a quorum lighting fixtures design as this photo. Hope stocks can wait til we can take one home :D

Now I wonder where is that very cute lamp click lamps that we received as a wedding gift?

Google PR Is Down

I've been hearing around about other blogs PRs went up a notch or two higher. But I was a little sad that the PR my two blogs went down. buhuhuhu. This blog's PR was 3 and now it's down to 2. And my other blog's, Heartifying, was 2 and now it's PR is 1.

I have a hint why my PR got low but still I was a little sad and surprised. I've been lax in blog hopping and posting lately. Because of our lappy's condition and now it's even worse. I've mentioned that our lappy's screen finally gave in so I've been using our tv as my monitor which is very non ergonomic. And now the video cable is busted. so I can't use the poor lappy anymore. During Fridays hubby brings his company lappy home which is only when I can use a decent lappy. Like right now.

Someday, I'll be back with a vengeance. *grin*

Birthday Plan For A 6-Year Old

Time really flies so swiftly! Zach is turning 6 this Friday, July 8. It's like only yesterday when I first saw his tiny hand stuck out of my belly. From a helpless baby, he's now an intelligent, imaginative, amazing, curious, funny, sweet boy who can read, write, draw, use the computer, disassemble everything toys, run fast and swing high.

We can't have a party for him as much as I know how much he and we would love to, due to budget constrains. I'm actually a little sad that we can't buy him the gift he's been asking - a pair of bunnies.

But I and hubby already have a very simple plan for his birthday. And we hope he'll feel special on his day.

Mommy Moments: Home

We are grateful that our kids are growing to a place of our own.

Our house is not grand. We chose not to put decorations hanged on walls, or breakable displays on tables and furnitures. It's not that I don't want to beautify our house. I so love looking at interior design magazines or visit home stores. Either the glass centerpiece breaks or one of my son gets hurt. And that's truly heartbreaking.

We want our home to be a place where my two high-spirited boys can move freely. Protecting our TV and the refrigerator from my son's flying toys everywhere at anytime is enough headache for me.

Our home is...
A place to learn

A place to relax

And play wrestling....wait, let mommy go

A place to play

A place to eat jellies

...and ice candy while watching movies

And last but not the least, our home is for bed scenes.

Let me see what your home is about at Mommy Moments.
