Zach's Prep Books

The other day, Zach and I scanned his books together. Quite refreshing that the
fonts are bigger than the books that I usually read. I'm glad I won't have to wear
eyeglasses every time we study his lessons.

Zach was interested with the Reading, Language, Math and Science books. I think,
we'll have a problem with Filipino and Sibika subjects. I let him try to read his
Filipino books and I tried very hard not to laugh as he read. So slang. I taught him
the Filipino translations for the different kinds of shapes, colors and adjectives.
I translate instructions and passages in English so he would also understand. Later
on, he mentioned that he doesn't like the books which are in Filipino. Now I know
the Filipino subjects will be the challenging ones for him...and me too. Coz I always
need to translate everything in English. But I guess it will only be for the start.

I'm excited already for the start of Zach's regular classes on Monday. Even more
excited than him hehe :D

Hi Jona, many thanks for dropping by my place. Kids learn fast, with languages too.
I have a friend, her daughter 10 years old today speaks, Cantonese, English, Malay, Mandarin, French and switches languages like no tomorrow.
Toronto has 127 different nationalities, and thus the schools a mosaic of colours of students from different countries.

I myself can let go, ha ha, some Albanian, Greek, Spanish, Russian, French, Japanese and Mandarin....I love foreign languages.

Glad you having fun with your kid....
Drop by anytime....you keep well and have a pleasant week, Lee.
