Knockout Roses

When you see white powdery coats on the stems of your plants, those are aphids. And it's infesting some of our garden plants. Especially the local cherry blossom and my pitimini roses. The plants can't flourish and the rose buds can't continue to bloom. The plants really look pitiful. I hope the spray solution that my mother mentioned to me would solve the problem.

Now I feel envy with these knockout roses. I was feeling hopeless romantic when I saw the different varieties of gorgeous roses from Rose Knockouts. The knockout roses are considered by the breeder, Bill Radler, to be the easiest to grow that's why it's the most popular in North America today. It's also the most disease resistant roses sold in the market. Which makes me interested. It doesn't require much attention from the gardener except when you feel mesmerized by the lovely blooms. We want healthy, refreshing flowers in our garden but how can we manage to still take care of them with our schedule? This is just what we, busy people needed. Knockout Roses are not picky about soil types but will do better if you amend the soil with compost. I would love to have a garden that's a total knockout with the knockout roses blooming in different colors.

Here are the Knockout Rose varieties:
1. Red Knockout Rose- the original. It's a powerhouse of amazing firey red petals which start blooming in Spring until Autumn begins.

2. Double Knockout Rose- It's the easy to grow, flowering power combined with a tolerance for shade, a characteristic not often found in roses. Best to use as hedges or borders because of its double compact flowers.

3. Blushing Knockout Rose- The light pink shade looks dainty but proven to survive high heat and humidity. Perfect for hedges and in perennial gardens.

4. Sunny Knockout Rose- Summer seems to go on forever as this type produces fragrant and lovely shade of pastel cream to bright and buttery-yellow blooms.

By the way, it's half the price now! You may head on to http://www.roseknockouts.com/, if you want to see what I'm talking about.
