Philippines Has Hope in Noynoy Aquino

I saw hope for the country as I watched yesterday on tv, the declaration of Noynoy Aquino's candidacy for President in 2010. WOOHOO!

The people expected Noynoy to continue his parents' legacy of truthful governance and service to the people. Yet he needed to sought the blessing and ask the Lord's will. And after the seven-day retreat was his people-awaited declaration. A man after God's heart, just what the Philippines needed. Yesterday's statement showed his own heart of honesty, sincerity, humility and love for people and for justice.

To the question what will be his campaign to abolish corruption and judicial injustice if ever he will be elected; I like his answer. He said that there's no need to change the country's laws. They are the best that even other countries look up to as a model for their own laws. We need to just push and utilize it for the good of all and not just the fortunate few. His answers during the Q & A made my eyes moist to really felt relief that there's still an unselfish people to rule the government. Not because he knows lots of things (he admitted that he still need to know about the needs of the Mindanao sector so to know how he could help them) but because he has the heart only to serve.

His speech didn't brag about any promises of so and so like politicians do. Nor did he enumerated his list of programs whatsoever. It was a statement that he is running to answer the cry of the multitudes and not of his own ambitions.

Hubby will vote for the first time next election. He's sure that his vote will go to someone who's worthy.
