Outing ng Tribo

We call our group of married couples in the ministry as "Tribo." We had our "house church" outing last weekend.

It's a different kind of outing from what I expected that we will have it in a resort. We were not able to get a reservation prior to going to Clark, Pampanga coz the first target venue, we only knew in the latter part of planning, that there's no swimming pool. So we had our 'survivor quest' for a place to stay when we arrived there. Our first stop was Mimosa Leisure Park but unfortunately we're on a waiting list til 2pm. We tried Oxford Hotel though at first we felt that we don't belong. After careful inquiries from our front people using their face value (hehe), the hotel was just so kind for allowing us to check in with all 16 adults and 12 children (+ my baby) in only three rooms. Thank God coz people are tired and it's getting noon already. It's maybe because they don't have a lot of guests at the moment to fill up their rooms. But in the end we had 4 rooms booked coz a 'can afford' couple decided to have their own room.

Most of the day was spent swimming at the 3 ft. deep pool. Then we went out in the evening for dinner after we realized during lunch that it's so "baryotic" to eat bulalo (beef broth?), pinakbet and rice at the 2nd floor lobby using styro and plastic bags...with matching green mango and bagoong (fish paste) for dessert (LOL). After dinner at Chowking we shopped at Parkinsons Duty Free and spotted a "Lightning McQueen" bag for Zach for only $2.49. I also bought an Abercrombie shirt worth $4.59 and hubby's for $2.something.

Sunday morning, we had singing devotional that fed our spirits. Hubby was one of the six privileged persons (among the group) to be given a coupon for the breakfast buffet. But I was more privileged coz he passed on the stub to me. Because it's Mother's Day today huh? JOKE!

The buffet was a simple one though. I was a bit sad that there were no pastries or sweets to bring to hubby. I liked their potato and macaroni salad though.

At 9am, we had our communion service then a little time to swim. Zach had a slight fever so we didn't let him swim anymore. I opted not to swim also but instead just bathed in the tub after giving bath to Gabe. I packed up our things and off we went to our lunch at the bulaluhan in front of Parkinsons Duty Free. They did their shopping at Liberty and Oriental Duty Free and we stayed in the jeep coz obviously we ran out of budget already (teehee).

We had fun and I liked the atmosphere there too coz it's a little bit cool because of the trees. I hope we could go back there (with a descent budget) for more duty free shopping.
