We only have one brother in the family, my kuya Joel. Jael (Ja-YEL), his baby girl came unexpectedly last January 26. His third son now seven years old. But her arrival is such a blessing. Last Saturday, March 15, we had her dedicated to the Lord. Blessings, wishes and vows were said by the godparents or are now her second parents. Most of them mentioned prayers that for Jael to learn about God as she grows. The meaning of Jael is gift from God.
It was also kuya's birthday celebration for the 22nd of March. It was the first time we celebrated his birthday after being to and from Qatar and Philippines for maybe 8 years now. What's surprisingly funny is when he mentioned that it's his second time to have a cake on his birthday. The first time he doesn't remember and he only knew about it through a pic of his birthday when he was only about 2 or 3 years old.
Food was catered by Queensland catering. There's beef caldereta, barbecued spareribs, baked chicken, fish fillet with tartar sauce and lychee jelly for desert. The fish fillet had gone fast and Ate Jennie needed to refill the veggie salad tray every now and then. The celebration was another time for Botor family and friends to be gathered, which seldom happens. It was fun and a success!
